Environmental protection implies not only the protection of nature, but also ensuring human health, economic stability, and decent living conditions for future generations.

Compliance with environmental standards in industrial and infrastructural development processes, waste reduction, using renewable energy sources, and the rational management of resources are essential conditions for environmental protection. At the same time, active public participation and cooperation between the public and private sectors are of particular importance.

These topics were discussed in detail at the event organized by the Thermal Power Plants JSC and timed to June 5, World Environment Day. Employees of the central office, Thermal Power Plants JSC system enterprises, specialists from the Ministries of Energy and Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, attended the event.

It was emphasized that the preservation of the environment today should become the responsibility not only of environmentalists, but also of every member of society. Caring for nature, introducing green technologies in production, saving energy resources, and reducing waste ensure environmental stability and positively impact the country’s overall development.

Experts noted the importance of strengthening international cooperation in environmental protection, expanding environmental projects, improving energy efficiency, and ecological literacy.

The event included presentations on practical work aimed at environmental protection and sustainable development. The participants exchanged views on environmental initiatives, promising projects, problems in this area, and ways to eliminate them.
