A delegation led by Hamidreza Nami, Chairman of the Iran Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association (ATMAK), visited Samarkand.

The guests met with Shunqor Khudoyberdiyev, Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region for Agriculture and Water Management, and other industry representatives.

At the meeting, views were exchanged on further strengthening ties in the agricultural sector, applying modern technologies in agriculture, and enhancing cooperation in this area. 

Hamidreza Nami provided information on the advantages of agricultural machinery produced in Iran and shared his proposals for establishing its production in Samarkand.

The Deputy Hokim of Samarkand region proposed an initiative to establish and develop a partnership in introducing modern agricultural technologies, optimizing production processes, selecting high-yield potato varieties, and creating pistachio plantations in the region.

The parties agreed to develop and implement joint projects based on the proposals discussed.

During their visit to Samarkand, the Iranian delegation also toured the region’s historical and cultural monuments and other local attractions.
