Direct air connection between Uzbekistan and Jordan
Jordan’s national carrier, Royal Jordanian, has launched regular passenger flights on the Amman – Tashkent – Amman route.
The first aircraft landed at Tashkent Airport today. A route launch ceremony was held at the airport terminal with the participation of the first passengers and representatives of Uzbekistan Airports and Royal Jordanian.
Flights will operate twice weekly, on Wednesdays and Sundays.
As Royal Jordanian’s Chief Commercial Officer Karim Makhlouf noted, direct air service between Tashkent and Amman will bring residents of Uzbekistan and Central Asia closer to Jordan’s remarkable attractions, including the ancient city of Petra, the Dead Sea, the Wadi Rum desert, and many other unique destinations. The new route is part of the ExploRJordan program, which aims to develop inbound tourism to Jordan.
According to Uzbekistan Airports, the flight will not only provide convenient air links between Uzbekistan and Jordan but also create additional opportunities to develop tourism, business ties, and cultural exchange between the two countries.
