A two-stage international conference dedicated to notaries took place in Samarkand.
At the conference, organized by the Notary Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the International Union of Notaries, the issues of combating money laundering in notaries and the role of notaries in the era of digitalization were discussed by representatives of this field from almost 40 countries.
When discussing the digitalization of notaries, participants shared the experience gained during their activities.

As Zaur Hasanov, the responsible employee of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, noted, the organization of an electronic notary system in the country began in 2007, and mobile notaries were launched in 2016.
As noted by the President of the Federal Notary Chamber of the Russian Federation, Konstantin Korsik, the digital notary project has been successfully implemented in the country for several years. A secure and convenient system based on the “one window” principle, attaching notaries in digital format to registration departments, drafting legal documents, and providing online notary services form the basis of the IT activities of the Russian notary.

Ayubkhon Yunusov, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, noted that currently, the powers to provide notarial services to individuals and legal entities located abroad are vested in notaries, as well as diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad.
During the conference, participants got acquainted with the historical and cultural monuments and other attractions of Samarkand.
