A workshop “Children’s Rights: International and National Legislation and Practice” was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy for participants of the UWED Summer School.

Interactive methods were used at the event, organized to raise the level of knowledge of young people about children’s rights.

The participants were informed about the explanations of the essence of international children’s law, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and other international documents. Special attention was paid to the protection of children’s rights within the framework of the Republic of Uzbekistan’s legislation, as well as to the existing problems.

The classes were organized in the following formats: question-and-answer sessions, case study analysis, and group work. Theoretical knowledge was reinforced by practical skills, which allowed students to delve deeper into the topic and develop critical thinking.

The workshop, conducted by specialists from the UWED Legal Clinic, became an essential part of the Summer School program and provided valuable knowledge and skills to young people who intend to work in the field of law in the future.
