Tashkent hosted a training as part of the project “Private sector development and economic policy advice in Uzbekistan”.

GIZ is implementing this project on behalf of the German government, pursuant to an order from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

According to experts, implementing such projects aims to increase the competitiveness of Uzbekistan enterprises at the international level. This will also contribute to developing the country’s export potential and support efforts to reduce the carbon footprint.

In addition to direct project participants, representatives of national specialized agencies, international organizations, scientific institutes, media, and enterprises interested in applying the Green BDS RESP methodology took part in the training. Participants got acquainted with the work results of companies such as Colibri, Azalium, WRP-Bukhara, Chust Textile, Thermozon, Diva Tex, and Urban Style.

This project aims to introduce resource-efficient and environmentally friendly production and green BDS in companies in the textile and construction materials sectors and industrial parks in Uzbekistan.
