Nukus hosted fair of products of national applied art and national handicraft on “National values of Karakalpakstan”.

The event was organized at the initiative of Hunarmand Association of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Products of Karakalpak masters is of great interest abroad. In particular, Karakalpak yurts are in demand in Singapore, in Europe – souvenirs, national carpets.

Due to cooperation in one of the supermarkets of Kazakhstan’s capital – Astana, a large retail area has been allocated for Karakalpakstan artisans’ products. This year, 203 projects have been implemented with a loan of almost 9 billion UZS in handicraft.
