Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation and Commissioner of the Bukhara Biennial, Gayane Umerova, participated in the India Art Fair 2025 in New Delhi.

Gayane Olegovna, an art critic, cultural and artistic figure of Uzbekistan, addressed the discussion moderated by Diana Campbell, Artistic Director of Bukhara Biennial.

As part of the discussion “Crafting Unity in Diversity: Central and South Asia at the Bukhara Biennial”, the speakers discussed the deep cultural ties between Central Asia and India.

The event brought together artists such as Subodh Gupta, Munisa Kholkhodjayeva, and Oyjon Khayrullayeva, who discussed the ongoing impact of historical cultural interaction on contemporary art.

The Bukhara Biennial will become a platform for intercultural dialogue between artists of the region.
