The Republican Children’s Library under the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Karakalpakstan hosted the Days of Germany in Nukus for schoolchildren and readers under the motto “Discover, Try, Participate!”
The project aimed to introduce young people to German literature and culture through interactive formats. As part of the project, workshops were held to develop reading skills and ecological thinking.
Participants of the three-day event learned fascinating facts about Germany, explored the “Green Library and Seed Library” exhibition displayed in the library foyer, and visited a photo exhibition dedicated to literary characters promoting ecological responsibility. In addition, they had the opportunity to learn more about the projects of the Goethe-Institut’s Information and Library Department being implemented in Uzbekistan.
Following the event, cooperation was established with the Information and Library Department of the Goethe-Institut in Uzbekistan.
