The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of the Board with participation of rectors of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and regular meeting of Rectors Council of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan.

The Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting of the Board with participation of rectors of higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and regular meeting of Rectors Council of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan.

At the event, special attention was paid to the essence and importance of tasks set before higher education system.

At the same time, instructions were given on expanding international cooperation in higher education institutions, increasing attention to quality of education, constant coverage of tasks in the mass media, using effective forms of combating corruption.

A number of organizational issues were considered at the meeting. In particular, special attention was paid on importance of Uzbekistan – Russia educational forum held in Tashkent in 2018, implementation of the reached agreements.

Indeed, this forum played an important role in raising to a new level the cooperation between scientific-enlightenment community of the two countries in the sphere of higher education. Instructions were given on starting preparations for the next stage of this forum, which will be held in 2019 in Russia.

At the meeting, Rector of Tashkent State University of Economics Bakhodir Khodiyev was elected Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan.
