In Tashkent, the Committee for Family and Women and the Asian Development Bank organized a training seminar titled “Gender-Based Violence in the Workplace: Theory and Practice” as part of the international “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence” campaign.
The participants became acquainted with the concept of gender-based violence (GBV), its primary forms and manifestations, including practical examples. They studied leading national and international practices in the prevention of and response to GBV, and developed valuable skills for identifying signs of GBV and responding effectively.
The event used interactive methods, enabling participants to reinforce practical skills and exchange experiences.

Practical recommendations were also provided on issues such as identifying cases of gender-based violence in the workplace, conducting proper legal assessment, creating safe and confidential reporting channels for employees, and organizing psychological support services.

Following the event, essential recommendations were developed to strengthen comprehensive mechanisms for eliminating gender-based violence in labor collectives, improve systems of legal and psychological support for women, and enhance rapid-response measures by responsible organizations.
