The Indian Classical Dance Festival, held at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan, strengthened artistic cooperation between the two countries.
The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan, Smita Pant, emphasized that cultural collaboration between the two nations grows stronger yearly.
“This event once again demonstrated the close friendship and cultural affinity between India and Uzbekistan”, Ambassador Smita Pant said. “Uzbek dances were performed alongside traditional Indian folk dances. The audience enjoyed the harmonious performances of Kathak and Andijan Polka, presented by students of the Lal Bahadur Shastri Centre for Indian Culture and Samarkand State Medical University. We aim to highlight the cultural similarities between the two countries, showcase the diversity of national traditions, and strengthen friendship between our peoples”.
Such cultural events help foster friendship, preserve, and develop traditional art.
