Tashkent hosted a training conference to raise awareness of Regional Electric Networks JSC employees about creating a gender policy framework.

Responsible persons, employees, and members of the Council for Gender Equality of the company and its system were invited to the event, organized jointly with the Asian Development Bank and JSC Equita Italia.

“Gender equality is present not only at the legislative level, but also in everyday life”, says Saodat Ibragimova, head of the primary organization for working with women at JSC Regional Electric Networks. “In this matter, we will closely cooperate with the media. To promote gender equality, it is necessary to focus on equal opportunities for women and men. If this concept is implemented in society in the right direction, based on a clear policy, the results will not be long in coming. We strive to strengthen the role of young people in society, organizing all the activities of our organization based on gender equality”.

At the event, participants were introduced to the concepts of gender equality and essential aspects to ensure women’s greater participation in the energy sector. Changes in the personnel and workplace management policy of JSC Regional Electric Networks were discussed from the gender equality perspective.
