On the eve of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to France, an international conference “Science and Education: a Bridge between Uzbekistan and France” took place in Paris.

It was attended by the heads of more than 30 higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and France, leading experts in science and education.

The heads of several universities in Samarkand have signed important agreements with their French colleagues. In particular, the Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages and the Innovative Methodological Center for Teaching French in France signed an agreement on cooperation, exchange of experience, and implementing innovative projects to improve education quality. The document will contribute to improving the quality of French language training in accordance with international standards.

Representatives of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand also took an active part in the “Cultural Heritage and Tourism” session, which was devoted to cooperation between France and Uzbekistan in preserving and developing historical heritage.
