Head of the Agency for Public Administration Efficiency under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan U. Khusainov met with Assistant Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Representative in Uzbekistan Sh. Umarov.

The parties addressed opportunities to optimize management processes within the civil service system, improve civil servants’ qualifications, and implement innovative technologies through large-scale programs.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Agency for Public Administration Efficiency and the FAO Representative Office in Uzbekistan.

The document provides for implementing programs to ensure gender equality in public administration bodies, as well as organizing seminars, training sessions, masterclasses, and internships to expand women’s roles in government administration in rural areas.

A comprehensive program for training, professional development, and foreign internships for young specialists will be introduced within the FAO system.

Special training programs will be developed for deputy hokims of regions and districts responsible for agriculture and water management, focusing on improving public administration, rural development, and the management of agricultural and water resources.

Online training courses and modules will be developed and implemented, involving both local and foreign experts.
