Uzbekistan delegation led by Ambassador Dilyor Khakimov visited the Netherlands Company Plantlab.

Uzbekistan delegation led by Ambassador Dilyor Khakimov visited the Netherlands Company Plantlab. The delegation included representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Agriculture.

The goal is to study the best practices of the Netherlands in agriculture, as well as conduct substantive negotiations with the management of the company, one of the leaders in vertical farming to discuss the prospects for implementation of investment, trade, economic and research projects.

Uzbekistan is interested in that the company offers opportunities for year-round cultivation of almost any type of plant, including flowers, vegetables and fruits, in isolated conditions, without sun and soil, with 90 percent water saving. At the same time, productivity is ten times greater than when grown in field or greenhouse conditions.

Members of the delegation showed a keen interest in the activities of Plantlab, taking into account the advanced nature of its technology, as well as the unprecedented saving of water, which is extremely important in conditions of lack of water resources.

Following the negotiations, the Plantlab representative confirmed their readiness to become a co-investor in implementation of this project in Uzbekistan if there is an interested local partner.
