A meeting was held at the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) between the head of the institution, Javlon Vakhabov, and a delegation from the Centre for Eastern Studies of Poland, led by its Director Wojciech Konończuk. Marcin Wakar, the Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Poland in Uzbekistan, also attended the meeting.

During the talks, the IICA Director noted that both institutes share many common areas of interest in priority research activities, offering broad opportunities for joint projects and initiatives. 

An exchange of views took place on key issues related to scientific and expert support for the “CA+EU” summit. Particular attention was given to strengthening cooperation through joint scientific research, expert forums, and roundtable discussions. 

Wojciech Konończuk highlighted the growing interest of Polish analytical circles in the Central Asian region, driven by the increasing role of Central Asia in global political and economic processes. 

Following the meeting, a Cooperation Agreement was signed, confirming the parties’ commitment to continuing dialogue and expanding their bilateral and multilateral partnership.
