A meeting was held at the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan with representatives of China Everbright Environment Group Limited.

The guests were informed about the reform of Uzbekistan’s waste recycling system, issues that need to be resolved, the conditions created for investors, and the guaranteed benefits.

Highly appreciating the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, company representatives noted that they are ready to help resolve existing issues and contribute to the development of this area. They shared Vietnam’s experience in waste management and touched upon the theme of generating energy by burning waste.

Active waste and resource management can reduce the impact of global greenhouse gas emissions by 15 to 20 percent. A 30-year investment period was proposed to construct a waste incineration plant in Uzbekistan.

Following the meeting, guests were introduced to the activities of the Republican Center for Organization of Sanitary Cleaning Works and the Central Department of Dispatch and Online Monitoring. Trips to Bukhara, Andijan, Fergana, and Namangan regions are also planned.
