According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-October this year, the volume of construction work amounted to 35984.4 billion UZS. The growth rate to the corresponding period of the previous year reached 106.2%.

The volume of construction work performed by large contracting organizations amounted to 1,1003.8 billion UZS, or 102.4% of the corresponding period of the previous year, the share in the total volume of construction works reached 30.6%.

Small enterprises and microfirms completed construction works for 14,696.9 billion UZS, or 40.8% of the total volume of construction works, the growth rate was 114.4%. The share of the informal sector was 28.6%, or 10283.7 billion UZS, the growth rate – 99.4%.

The main part of the construction work on the types of economic activity was carried out through the construction of residential buildings and non-residential premises. Their share in the total volume of construction work amounted to 77.6% and, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 0.6% points.
