The construction industry continues to grow dynamically as a priority sector of the national economy, achieving notable progress in introducing innovative technologies, improving product quality, and expanding export potential.

At a recent press conference in Tashkent, Ilyos Rakhimov, Acting Chairman of the Board of the Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari Association, spoke about ongoing initiatives in the sector.

“Over the past nine months, large-scale modernization has been carried out at enterprises”, he said. “We have achieved significant results in improving product quality, introducing energy-efficient technologies, and preparing competitive goods for foreign markets. This not only drives industrial development but also provides the population with modern, high-quality construction materials.

In numerical terms, production volume in 2025 is expected to reach 52 trillion UZS, with exports projected at 1.2 billion US dollars. A total of 2.4 billion US dollars in investments will be utilized, including 1.6 billion US dollars in foreign direct investment. Under the localization program, it is planned to produce goods worth 4.4 trillion UZS.

In January–September of this year, construction materials worth 41.5 trillion UZS were produced, with exports amounting to 810.2 million US dollars. A total of 1,705 million US dollars in investments was utilized, including 1,150 million US dollars in foreign direct investment.

Under the localization program, products worth 3.3 trillion UZS were manufactured, including key items such as cement, ceramic tiles, gypsum board sheets, dry construction mixes, and sanitary equipment.

Through the investment program, 230 projects have been implemented, creating 8,712 new jobs. To boost exports, trade houses, showrooms, and warehouses have been opened in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, and local products have been showcased at international exhibitions and forums.

Thus, large-scale initiatives and investment projects in the construction sector play an essential role in developing the country’s economy, expanding exports of domestic products, and creating new jobs. Thanks to high quality and competitiveness, Uzbek-made products continue to strengthen their presence in the international market”.
