Smart Rural Planning competition has been organized within the framework of the joint project of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Uzbekistan and UNDP’s Sustainable Rural Development project, funded by the Islamic Development Bank and the OPEC Fund for International Development.

It was initiated to attract young people to participate in the socio-economic development of regions, cities, and villages by developing and implementing projects aimed at improving urban planning documents and introducing innovative, low-carbon design solutions.

According to the organizers, the competition will allow young architects to demonstrate their potential in creating smart cities and villages in Uzbekistan, promoting green construction and sustainable architecture, and will help them gain experience. 

Students, graduates of education institutions of architectural, engineering, and urban planning, as well as independent specialists under 35 living in the territory of Uzbekistan, can apply by the link https://forms.gle/nNPFXExXsqya7BbG8, whose projects were developed from January 1, 2018, to July 30, 2023.
