Following the President’s visit

The visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Jizzakh region on July 22 this year marked the beginning of an essential strategic phase that will serve as a foundation for the comprehensive renewal of the region’s industrial, agricultural, and social infrastructure.

The Head of State visited production facilities under construction in Zaamin district and outlined clear strategic objectives for the development of regional industry, job creation, and the professional training of the population.

Major investment projects totaling $1.2 billion, currently underway in the Zaamin Technopark special industrial zone, have led to a significant increase in labor demand. To meet this need and provide youth with training in modern production processes, short-term vocational training courses have been launched in the technopark. These courses follow the dual education model, in which students acquire both practical skills and theoretical knowledge. During training, participants learn to operate advanced equipment, apply safe working methods, and master modern production technologies.

This project is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, and several relevant agencies. In this way, a unified system is being formed for the professional training of the local population, their employment, and the provision of skilled specialists for regional industries.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of work in this area and noted the need to further expand professional training for citizens within the framework of each industrial project.

Thousands of jobs are expected to be created at the household appliance factory, export-oriented production facilities, and logistics centers being established in the Zaamin Technopark special industrial zone. This calls for the urgent development of a pool of qualified specialists.

The prompt implementation of these measures is crucial not only for reducing unemployment but also for building a reserve of human capital essential for the future industry. The Zaamin Technopark model is planned to be replicated in other regions of the country.
