International Human Rights Day Roundtable on the registration, functioning and financing of NGOs in Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent.

The event, organized jointly with the Delegation of the European Union, the embassies of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland in Uzbekistan, was attended by representatives of government agencies, civil society activists of Uzbekistan, members of the diplomatic corps, and international experts.

The Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan Toivo Klaar noted that the European Union highly values ​​cooperation with civil society and non-governmental organizations of Uzbekistan.

At the event, views were exchanged on the registration and functioning of civil society institutions, their financing, and modern trends and promising areas.
