Holding the biennale in Bukhara has important goals for Uzbekistan – including the country in the international art community and enhancing the cultural and historical image of the country in the world.

According to the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan, thanks to the biennale, local artisans and artists will establish cooperation with international colleagues and will exchange experiences. This will help unlock the potential of traditional craftsmanship in a modern context.
