A cooperation agreement has been signed between the city of Bukhara and the capital of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, the city of Grozny, defining the two cities as twin cities.

The Hokim of Bukhara City, Qurbon Tursunov, and the Mayor of Grozny, Khas-Magomed Kadyrov, participated in the negotiations, which were conducted via video conference.

The parties agreed to establish cooperation in areas such as the exchange of experience in various fields, the implementation of joint projects, and the enhancement of professional development programs for university students. Promising proposals have been put forward for the development of cooperation in areas such as trade, economy, tourism, urban construction, and environmental protection.

It is expected that the establishment of twin cities relations will contribute to strengthening historical, cultural, and social ties between Bukhara and Grozny.
