Andijan Regional Territorial Election Commission held a briefing on the results of early voting of citizens in the upcoming elections of Deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Local Councils of People’s Deputies on October 27, 2024.

Chairman of the Regional Territorial Election Commission Bakhtiyor Rasulov informed about the early voting results:

Elections are organized in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Election Code, the Regulations approved by the Central Election Commission, and the calendar plan approved by the CEC on July 26, 2024, for the elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Local Councils of People’s Deputies.

On the territory of Andijan region, 7 mandatory electoral districts have been organized to hold elections of deputies to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a list of 35 candidates for deputies nominated from 5 parties has been compiled.

55 electoral districts have been launched to hold elections of deputies to Andijan Regional Councils of People’s Deputies. Five parties have nominated 275 candidates for deputies in the regional council.

Ballots were delivered to the polling stations of the region for early voting, the number of which amounted to 10 percent of the total number of voters.

Early voting in the region was held from October 16 to 23. 36,486 voters used the right to early voting.
