Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) and the Belarusian Telegraph Agency (BelTA) have signed a Memorandum on Information Exchange aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation in the media sphere and enhancing the efficiency of news sharing.

The parties agreed to exchange reliable news in both Russian and English on key domestic and international developments regularly. Special attention will be given to providing information support for visits by heads of state, official delegations, as well as major interstate events held in Uzbekistan and Belarus.

The Memorandum plays a crucial role in enhancing the professional capacity of the editorial staff. It provides for professional development programs, including mutual internships for journalists and photo correspondents to study best practices and improve their qualifications. Such exchanges will help strengthen the editorial staff’s professional capacity and contribute to the development of unified standards of accuracy and efficiency in news coverage.

The document, signed by Abdusaid Kuchimov, Director General of UzA, and Irina Akulovich, Director General of BelTA, marks another step towards deepening cooperation between the leading national media outlets of the two countries and reflects the growing momentum of partnership between Uzbekistan and Belarus in the information sphere.
