The concept of development of the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2020-2025 was developed to effectively organize scientific and innovative activities, develop international cooperation, based on the needs of the banking and financial sectors in highly qualified personnel.

The following tasks were carried out under the patronage and financial support of the National Bank to implement the Development Concept of the Banking and Finance Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Regulations on the procedure for admission to training, on the Council of the Academy, new training programs in specialties, Banking, Finance and financial technologies were developed and approved.

New disciplines have been introduced: artificial intelligence for financiers and bankers, financial technologies, design thinking, strategic management of an organization, change management.

The business process has been reorganized. A fundamentally new, open, multilevel, transparent and corruption-free student selection process has been developed, approved and implemented. 

Three case championships were held with the participation of 3720 people to ensure competitive selection. More than 20 experts from Belgium, Egypt, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Oman, Russia, the U.S., Turkey and other countries delivered speeches during the championships. Now training at the Academy is conducted in Uzbek, Russian and English.

International scientific and practical conference “Financial Architecture 2030” was held to implement the research activities of the Academy. The event brought together more than 70 researchers and foreign experts.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with Almaty Management University. A joint discussion of the roadmap for cooperation in 2021 is underway.

The National Bank and BFA identified the opening of the School of Financial Technologies Specialists, the creation of a Venture Fund and a business incubator, the opening of the Endowment Fund, the preparation of a new generation of financially literate and active citizens as the main priorities for 2021.

In the year of Supporting Youth and Strengthening the Health of the Population, the Academy will pay special attention to working with senior schoolchildren and students.

An International Banking School, capable of accommodating more than 1,000 students, will be launched in the new year.

From the new academic year, the National Bank will provide both grants and 50 scholarships to freshmen from among 50 gifted students.

New students will have the opportunity, along with a state diploma, to receive international certificates of professional training.
