AUIC initiates a geological exploration project in Uzbekistan
The Azerbaijan – Uzbekistan Investment Company (AUIC), Azerbaijan’s AzerGold CJSC, and Uzbekgeologorazvedka JSC signed a term sheet to establish a joint venture focused on geological exploration in Uzbekistan.
The signing took place as part of the 15th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, held in Tashkent with the participation of Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov.
Combining AUIC’s investment potential, AzerGold’s technical expertise, and Uzbekgeologorazvedka JSC’s extensive experience will enable the development of an effective project implementation model – from geological exploration to attracting strategic investors and the subsequent commercial development of deposits.
The initiative aims to boost bilateral investment collaboration, incorporate modern technologies into geological exploration, and improve the investment appeal of Uzbekistan’s mineral resource sector.
