Astana hosts the 2nd FIDE Chess Olympiad for People with Disabilities.

After three rounds, the Uzbekistan national team entered the five strongest teams with five points.

At the Olympics, which is attended by athletes from 35 countries, the national team of Uzbekistan beat the UAE in the first round with a score of 4:0. In the second round, Uzbekistan’s athletes drew with Argentina with a score of 2:2, and in the third, defeated the ICCD team with a score of 2.5:1.5.

The standings are led by the teams of FIDE-1, Poland, and Israel, who scored 6 points each, followed by Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic with 5 points. Eleven teams, including the USA, Cuba, and Hungary, have 4 points each.

The 4th round will take place today. Uzbekistan’s chess players will face Cuba. The winner will receive 2 points, and one point for a draw.

Selbi Kakishova, Ilhom Ergashov, Sirojiddin Zayniddinov, Ahadkhon Kimsanboyev and Marsel Shoyusupov will defend Uzbekistan’s honor.

The Olympiad, consisting of 6 rounds, will run until October 25.
