The exhibition Tashkent Modernism.Index. continues its work at the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan.
The exhibition was first presented in April 2023 in the Triennale of Milan. In Tashkent, the project has been expanded and enriched with additional archival documents, as well as works from the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan collection, which will allow visitors to immerse themselves deeper into the culture and architecture of this period.
Using images and narratives selected by researchers from 20 buildings in the city, the exhibition raises vital themes related to the architectural, social, and cultural history of Tashkent and the current state of cultural heritage monuments.
The Tashkent Modernism.Index consists of two parts: photographs by Armin Linke and archival documentation.
The exhibition will run until November 5, 2023.
