Navruz is a symbol of nobility, love, mercy, and renewal.
Although the new eastern year begins with drizzling rain and the equinox of day and night, Navruz is still dear to everyone. Professor Anthony Jarvis, currently the Interim Rector at Webster University in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, congratulated the people on the occasion of the Navruz holiday.
– When I first came to Tashkent, it was about this time of the year. It was two years ago, and it was snowing, so I thought it was Navruz, and the weather suddenly changed. It was spring, and I had sumalak for the first time. I went through Navruz Park, and there were the families. They were dancing and celebrating the holiday with joy, – the Rector said. – You know, particularly cities like Bukhara and Samarkand remind me that this country was central to global civilization for three or four centuries. You go past, and people should know that and remember it. So, when you go through Samarkand and Bukhara, you realize the nation century so professionally for me. I love it, and it’s just a great place to visit.
