It would not be an exaggeration to say that the religious enlightenment reforms carried out in Uzbekistan are based on a strong political will, a strategic approach, a solid scientific foundation, and a worthy implementation of international cooperation.

The effective work of institutions such as the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Imam Bukhari and Imam Maturidi International Research Centers, the School of Hadith Studies, the Mir Arab Higher Madrasah, and the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan serves as an example of this. Through them, the truly humanistic and enlightening essence of Islam is widely covered. The centers perform not only religious, but also scientific and research functions, as well as tasks related to preserving and popularizing cultural and historical heritage. This is recognized as one of the examples worth studying for the countries of the region and the Islamic world.

Türkiye’s ANKASAM has published an analytical article “New Uzbekistan: The formula for the success of reforms in the religious sphere”, devoted to the reforms carried out in the religious-enlightenment sphere of Uzbekistan in recent years.

It highly appreciates the activities aimed at ensuring freedom of conscience, improving religious education, scientific study and popularization of the Islamic heritage in Uzbekistan, and recognizes that a new policy and approach that defines human values as a top priority have served as the basis for deep, systemic reforms in the religious sphere over the past seven years.

According to the Center for Islamic Civilization, analysts have focused on the development of religious educational institutions in accordance with international standards, as well as the harmonization of science and enlightenment with Islamic principles.
