Activity in the primary automobile market also continues to demonstrate positive annual growth.

The Center for Economic Research and Reforms has presented the results of its analysis of Uzbekistan’s automotive market for March. Vehicle sales in Uzbekistan decreased by three percent compared to February, totaling 76,800 units. Sales of passenger cars declined by 3.4 percent, amounting to nearly 65,000 units.

The segment of foreign-made passenger cars in the Uzbek market continues demonstrating positive dynamics. Sales volumes increased by 28 percent, with total sales reaching 2,700 units. Despite this significant growth, the annual increase in activity remained moderate at 13 percent.

By the end of March, activity in the secondary market for passenger cars declined by 2 percent, with total sales amounting to 42,500 units.

Against this backdrop, the segment of used electric vehicles showed positive dynamics: sales rose by 10 percent to 1,800 units, and compared to last year, sales have tripled.
