Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtayev met with the President of the ECO Science Foundation Seyed Komail Tayebi.
The President of the ECO Science Foundation highly appreciated the initiatives of the Uzbekistan leadership to develop science and state support for scientific activities, introduce innovative approaches and solutions at all levels of education, increase the interest of young people in information technology and applied sciences, and train professional personnel.
The ECOSF President expressed confidence that New Uzbekistan has accumulated unique experience in education and innovation, a promising project “One Million Uzbek Coders”, presidential schools, creative and specialized educational institutions have been opened, yielding positive results soon.
Information was presented on modern IT solutions, additional facilities created as a result of e-government projects in the country, the activities of the IT Park, innovative developments in healthcare, energy, transport, education, construction, agriculture, and rational management of water resources.
Proposals for establishing links with the ECOSF, deepening the participation of Uzbekistan’s representatives in research programs, joint projects, and systematizing links between scientific and academic circles were considered.
Issues of joint research in human capital development, the study of scientific and cultural heritage, renewable energy sources, environmental protection, climate change, transport, and logistics were agreed upon.
