The Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov met with the Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in Uzbekistan Andrin Fink.

The parties discussed the development of IT education in Uzbekistan, the expansion of international cooperation, and the implementation of new projects.

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the Association of IT Education signed an agreement on the launch of the project “Communication of stakeholders for inclusive growth through the development of IT and digital education in Uzbekistan”.

The project aims to accelerate economic development through the development of digital education. It is planned to increase the IT competence of young people and ensure their employment and women living in remote areas.

The cooperation will help accelerate Uzbekistan’s digital transformation, expand economic opportunities, and increase its competitiveness in the international IT market.
