Uzbekistan Airways held talks with Malaysia’s AirAsia X. Issues of launching regular flights between Kuala Lumpur and Tashkent were discussed at the meeting.
This meeting became a continuation of the negotiations between the companies that began in 2024 at the Routes Asia Aviation Forum.
Uzbekistan Airports noted that the carrier plans to start flights to Uzbekistan from October 2025 with a frequency of three times a week on Airbus 320/321. The airline is also considering the possibility of organizing connecting flights via Tashkent to third countries.
AirAsia X has already received permission for regular flights to Uzbekistan in February 2025.
