Jizzakh region hosted a workshop with participation of foreign partners at Uzbekistan – American joint venture SilverLeaf-BMB agro trade group.

SilverLeaf-BMB agro trade group is an agrocluster combining capacities for production of finished competitive products based on cultivation and processing of raw cotton using advanced technologies in Arnasay, Mirzachul, Dustlik and Pakhtakor districts of the region.

Foreign and local founders, specialists of SilverLeaf-BMB agro trade group, farmers using the cluster method as part of this enterprise, representatives of the general public attended the workshop.

Workshop participants became familiar with the work on implementation of the cluster method in the joint venture. Detailed information was given on introducing the experience of developed countries in cultivation of highly profitable agricultural products, attracting regular customers, employing youth, training qualified specialists, helping to increase the country’s export potential, as well as on activities implemented in preparing for planting in early spring.

It was emphasized that it is necessary to pay special attention to improving the ameliorative status of land, quality plowing and preventing reproduction of pests.

At the event, participants got acquainted with new tractors and other equipment purchased for the joint-venture machine and tractor fleet from the American company John Deere.
