Adani Group shows interest in developing hydropower projects in Uzbekistan
A meeting took place in Ahmedabad, India, involving a delegation led by Laziz Kudratov, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, along with representatives from the Adani Group.
The discussions centered on potential collaboration in hydropower, covering the adoption of modern technologies, building new energy facilities, and pursuing mutually advantageous investment projects.
Adani Group Founder Gautam Adani stated that the corporation is highly interested in investing in promising projects to build new hydropower and pumped-storage power plants in Uzbekistan.

Azimjon Ahmadjonov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekhydroenergo JSC, emphasized that international cooperation is practically essential for developing the hydropower sector. He noted that discussions with the Adani Group create new opportunities to bring in modern technologies and attract investments.
The company stated that both parties agreed to steadily maintain cooperation by establishing strong project partnership mechanisms, collaboratively developing promising investment initiatives, and implementing them.
