The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov has received a member of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) Anatoly Torkunov.

On December 9, 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received a member of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Rector of Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) Anatoly Torkunov, who arrived in Uzbekistan to attend the official opening ceremony of a branch of a Russian higher education institution in Tashkent.

At the meeting, the parties welcomed the opening of MGIMO branch in Uzbekistan in a short time and expressed confidence that this would serve to strengthen bilateral cooperation in training highly qualified personnel.

The parties noted with satisfaction the successful conduction of the 5th International MGIMO Alumni Forum in Tashkent in May, within the framework of which the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the university was held.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, views were exchanged on other issues of Uzbekistan – Russia agenda.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation Vladimir Tyurdenev attended the negotiations.
