During President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s trip to Fergana, a vocational school of agriculture named after Lola Murotova was opened.

Lola Murotova was a Hero of Uzbekistan, an Honored Worker of Agriculture in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and an awardee of the “El-Yurt Khurmati” (Respect of the Nation) and “Fidokorona Khizmatlari Uchun” (For Dedicated Services) orders. She devoted her entire life to agriculture and achieved great social success and respect.

This education institution was organized to bring her rich experience to young people and train mid-level personnel in agriculture.

The Head of state got acquainted with the conditions created here.

The vocational school is designed for 480 students and trains personnel at the initial stage of vocational education. It has over thirty classrooms, seven laboratories, computer classes, a conference room, and a museum. Students will also have a dormitory for 150 people, a gym, a mini-football field, a workshop, a greenhouse, and a training track.

The institution accepts graduates of the 9th grade of secondary schools. The educational process uses initial vocational education programs in conjunction with practice.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev remembered Lola Murotova’s many years of work and human qualities.

“Mrs. Lola showed what an Uzbek woman is capable of, and at the same time, she was very modest and simple. With her selfless work, she made a great contribution to the development and improvement of our country. These qualities should serve as an example for young people, who should deeply understand the profession”, the Head of state said.

The school will introduce entrepreneurial skills training in agriculture based on German experience. Fergana State University is assigned the school to help with the high-quality organization of the educational process and the provision of methodological assistance. It is also envisaged to create a Farmers’ School in the institution. At the expense of customers, advanced training courses for farmers will be organized.
