At the Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan Business Forum held in Tashkent, agreements were reached regarding investments in various economic sectors, including creating a year-round Chatkal Resort in Jalalabad region.

A memorandum was signed on this project, which will be implemented by the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan.

According to the document, work will be carried out in the following areas:

– promoting cooperation between states, local authorities, and other interested structures and ensuring sustainable development of tourism in both countries;

– sustainable development of the economies of the regions of the parties;

– attracting a flow of tourists to both countries;

– assistance in attracting investments in the sphere, bilateral and multilateral support for investments;

– exchange of experience and knowledge between specialists;

– contributing to the promotion of tourism opportunities in recreation areas.

Undoubtedly, this complex, which will be built in Chatkal district, will serve to develop Uzbekistan’s tourism industry.
