The Tatarstan-based company Tatlift, one of Russia’s leading elevator manufacturers, is entering the Uzbekistan market with an ambitious project. It plans to launch production of elevators and related components in Bukhara region.

To discuss project details, Tatlift’s CEO, Gulshat Zagidullina, arrived in Uzbekistan. During a meeting with Bukhara Regional Hokim Botir Zaripov, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed. In addition, separate agreements were concluded with partner enterprises involved in the project within the Bukhara Special Industrial Park.

The new enterprise will become the first and largest elevator manufacturing cluster in Central Asia. Elevators and their components will be produced directly within the economic zone, which will reduce delivery costs and increase affordability nationwide. The facility will serve as a platform for the further development of elevator infrastructure in the region, attract new investments, and create additional jobs in Bukhara region.

According to preliminary data, the project is estimated at $5.5 million. The plant will employ about 150 people and will have an annual production capacity of up to 2,000 elevators.
