The activities on the commissioning of a new high-voltage overhead power line L-1-X-1-220 kV at Takhiatash TPP have been completed.

According to the JSC Thermal Power Plants Press Service, the testing works were carried out in cooperation with JSC National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan. The new line connects JSC Takhiatash TPP directly with the “Khorezm” substation.

As is known, as a result of the investment project to build two steam and gas units with a capacity of 280 MW each at Takhiatash Thermal Power Plant, the plant’s production capacity has been increased, providing additional electricity to the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Khorezm region and partly Navoi region.

“The launch of the new line will ensure the transmission of qualitative electricity to the energy system of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, said the Director General of JSC Takhiatash TPP, Fakhriddin Khalilayev. – This will serve to provide uninterrupted and stable electricity for the country’s consumers, sectors of the economy and social facilities.
