A solemn ceremony for launching the EXEED automobile plant was held in Syrdarya. President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during an official visit to China, announced the plant’s opening via videoconference.

This project has become essential in developing economic relations between the two countries. It indicates a new Belt and Road Initiative stage to strengthen economic ties between China and Central Asian countries.

According to Akramjon Tukhtabayev, Director General of Asaka Motors, the new EXEED premium car assembly plant was launched in accordance with the tasks set by the Head of state for the development of the automotive industry in Uzbekistan. This significant project is of great importance for the economic and social development of the country. 

The new plant will use modern technologies and progressive production methods to produce high-quality and competitive products, increase employment in the region, and attract investment in the local economy.

The plant plans to produce three EXEED models – the LX compact crossover, the TXL mid-size crossover, and the VX full-size sport utility vehicle. This project involves the production of up to 20,000 cars per year at the stage of assembly from components (SKD) and up to 150,000 cars per year at the stage of the complete production cycle (CKD). Asaka Motors is the manufacturer of the EXEED brand in Uzbekistan. The corresponding agreement was signed in January 2023.
