In Fergana region, special attention is paid to attracting direct investments and implementing promising projects. In particular, this year, large Kuwaiti companies are expressing a desire to invest in several industries. These include Gulf Care General Trading and Energy Solutions.

Fergana region’s Hokim Khayrullo Bozorov received a delegation led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of these companies Eyad Al Saleh. Prospects for cooperation in medicine and pharmaceuticals, energy, and mining were discussed at the meeting. The parties exchanged ideas on the implementation of investment and trade-economic projects.

The Kuwaiti entrepreneur noted that he would implement a project on the organization and equipment of a diagnostic laboratory for the state medical institution of Fergana region free of charge soon. A building in the Fergana branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health will be allocated for the project.

At the meeting, the investor highly appreciated the development of the silk industry in Uzbekistan and stated that he would launch a large silk processing project in Fergana and export silk fabrics and products. He was assured that all opportunities would be created in the region to implement his projects in the sericulture, jewelry, and mining industries.
