From May 13 to 15, Uzbekistan hosted Energy Week in Tashkent.

During the week, exhibitions were held featuring technologies and innovations presented by 450 companies from 32 countries.

At the international exhibition Power Uzbekistan 2025, the Rosatom State Corporation showcased its advanced and energy-efficient solutions. A special exhibit dedicated to SMR technologies attracted significant interest from visitors. The exhibition’s centerpiece was a demonstration of the manufacturing process for a special 205-ton steel billet designed for the RITM-200N reactor.

On May 13, Rosatom’s Engineering Division began manufacturing reactor equipment for the SMR in Uzbekistan: a 205-ton ingot of special alloyed steel was cast, which will be used to produce the pressure vessel for the future RITM-200N reactor.

This reactor is the main component of the SMR, which is planned to be built in Jizzakh region. According to the project, the plant will consist of six reactors with a capacity of 55 MW each, totaling 330 MW. Preparatory technical work began in 2024, and in April 2025, a specialized facility for construction and installation was established.

Rosatom representatives also participated in strategic sessions focused on energy security, workforce training, and inclusive development, presenting the corporation’s systematic approach based on sustainable solutions.
