The British Council continues to support national reforms to modernize English-language teacher education (PRESETT) in Uzbekistan, in close cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education.
On 6-7 January, a National PRESETT Forum will be held in Tashkent, bringing together representatives from over 50 public and private higher education institutions. The forum focuses on key priorities, challenges in pre-service teacher education, reflective practice, inclusive education, and curriculum reform.
On 8 January, the British Council and the National Institute of Pedagogical Excellence named after Abdulla Avloni will launch the CPD Hub, a national platform designed to support teachers’ continuous professional development through face-to-face and online learning opportunities.
These initiatives contribute to Uzbekistan’s ongoing education reforms and the strengthening of teacher training systems.
