A pilgrimage event “Naqshbandiya Festival” took place in Kashkadarya region’s Shakhrisabz and Kitab districts.

About 160 representatives of religious organizations and followers of the Naqshbandi teachings from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Brunei, and Türkiye participated in the festival.

During the event, the guests visited the shrines of Shaykh Muhammad Imkanagiy and Shaykh Muhammad Darvesh Vakhshuvory in Kitab district and the memorial complexes Dor ut-Tilovat, Dor ut-Saodat, Oqsaroy in Shakhrisabz, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Employees of the Department for Ensuring Safe Tourism of the Regional Department of Internal Affairs and the regional departments of internal affairs ensured the safety of foreign and local tourists.

Following the event, the guests were invited to Samarkand.
