At a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev and President of the Asian Development Bank Masato Kanda, the parties discussed 30 years of successful cooperation, current achievements, and plans.
The discussion also covered preparations for the ADB’s 59th Annual Meeting, which will be held in May 2026 in Samarkand. To coordinate the process, a roadmap was proposed.

In addition, medium-term initiatives were reviewed, including improving financing mechanisms, developing infrastructure in economic zones, supporting employment for women and youth, and promoting export-oriented enterprises.
The parties exchanged views on the new Cooperation Program for 2026-2030.
Following the meeting, a $100 million loan agreement was signed under the project “STEM education in secondary schools of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
